Hey Funsters were back with a brand new look and something new to the community & future spotlight stagestars!
Our classes will be a fun introduction to performing arts - giving children the chance to build confidence, make friends, and explore the magic of performance in a relaxed, supportive environment!
Do you have a suitable venue for our classes?
Can we hire your school, studio or community centre?

'Kids Fun Club Academy of Performing Arts' operates as a tuition-based learning activity club, focused on drama, dance, music, performance and creative skills.
Sessions are not childcare provision and are therefore exempt from Ofsted registration, as they fall under coached and instructional activities rather than general childcare.
Children attend for the purpose of structured tuition and creative learning, not supervision or care. It is important children attend the Performing Arts classes not because they have to, but because they want to!
• Sessions are booked in 5-week terms (often referred to as “blocks”).
• The first 5-week term is FREE.
• After the free term, fees are £30 per child, per term (£6 per session).
• Fees must be paid no later than 7 days before the next term starts.
Reminder emails and payment links will be sent before each new term.
Fees secure your child’s place for the full term.
There are no refunds, roll-overs or credits for missed sessions, including due to illness or holidays.
Fees contribute towards room hire, creative materials, props and costumes, and the delivery of the sessions.
Sessions take place on Tuesdays at 1988 Bar & Kitchen in Hemsworth (Upstairs private function room):
• Home Education: 10:30am – 12:30pm
• After School: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Children should arrive on time and be collected promptly at the scheduled finish time.
• For safeguarding reasons, parents or guardians must remain onsite for children aged under 12, unless prior written permission has been provided.
• Children aged 12 years and over may arrive and leave sessions independently, only with prior written permission from a parent or guardian and agreement from club staff.
By providing written permission, parents/guardians confirm that they accept full responsibility for their child’s arrival to and departure from the venue.
Children will otherwise only be released to a parent/guardian or an adult pre-approved in writing.
The club’s duty of care applies during session times only.
If you are expected to be late for drop off and/or collection please do notify the club.
Respectful, safe behaviour is expected from all participants.
If a child’s behaviour becomes unsafe or significantly disruptive, the parent/guardian will be asked to assist in supporting their child during the class.
Where behaviour & safety concerns persist, the club may decide that the setting is no longer suitable for the child and may decline future term bookings.
It is paramount that children feel comfortable and safe at all times during the class. It is also important for the childrens education and wellbeing that their learning is not disturbed and the fun atmosphere remains throughout.
Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies or additional needs prior to attendance.
Children should not attend sessions if they are unwell or have an infectious illness.
If a child becomes unwell during a session, the parent/guardian will be contacted and may be asked to collect them.
Sessions/classes are led primarily by the club organiser, Kelly Taylor, who is DBS-checked and Safeguarding Trained (DSL Level 3).
Children are supervised during session times only.
Parents/guardians remain responsible for their child outside of these times and while onsite.
Safeguarding concerns will be managed in line with appropriate safeguarding procedures and, where necessary, shared with relevant agencies.
Photos and videos may be taken during sessions or showcases for promotional purposes (e.g. website or social media).
Parents/guardians who do not consent must notify the club in writing prior to the start of the term.
Each term may conclude with a relaxed, informal showcase celebrating the children’s work.
The club provides sets, materials, props and costumes as part of the programme.
Parents/guardians are not required to provide additional items, unless they choose to do so to further support their child’s experience.
Showcases are non-commercial and do not constitute professional performances.
The club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances.
Where possible, cancelled sessions will be rescheduled or credited towards a future term.
The club cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings that are lost, damaged or stolen.
While reasonable care is taken to ensure safety, participation of bringing devices, jewellery or personal items is at the parent/guardian’s own risk.
By booking a place and attending sessions, parents/guardians confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
The most up-to-date version of these Terms will be available on the club’s website.
